Meet our Pastor

JON CATRON

Founded in 1951, Calvary Church has been serving Greensboro for over 50 years. Pastors Jon and Kim are excited to inherit a church that fosters community across generations and ethnicities.

Their vision for Calvary Church is to equip and empower leaders to reach Greensboro, the greater Triad area, and the world. They look forward to leading Calvary Church as a community that fosters growth in their generation and the next as it grows beyond the bounds of Pleasant Ridge Road.

FAQ

ALL ABOUT CALVARY CHURCH

  • What is Calvary Youth?
Calvary Youth is the youth ministry at Calvary Church. Catering to the middle school and high school age group our goal is to help students find, grow, and nurture their relationship with Jesus and walk their lives out in freedom together. We believe you shouldn’t do life alone.
  • What should parents do on Calvary Youth Nights?
We are so glad you asked! Right near every Calvary Youth Squads location, you can find an adult group that meets at the same time. We care about the growth of the whole family and believe that when you and your child attend a group the whole family finds freedom together.
  • What time will my student be dismissed from Calvary Youth nights?
Calvary Youth will be dismissed at 8:15pm.
  • What is the adult presence on Calvary Youth Nights?
Each Calvary Youth squad is led by one or two adult group leaders of the same gender. Your student's safety is important to us! All of our Calvary Kids volunteers go through a rigorous screening process including a background check and Child Protection Policy trainings.
  • What is the general flow on Calvary Youth Nights?
On a regular Calvary Youth night we start with preservice at 6:30pm. This is a great time for students to get to know each other, connect, and eat some food. After that we move into our worship service, sermon time and squad groups. We like to worship and grow together.
